Getting Started

What is Nursyn?

Nursyn is a mobile app built for home health nurses. It lets you declare daily visits, generate AI-powered chart notes, translate with patients in 10 languages, and stay connected with your agency.

How do I link to my agency?

Tap the gear icon (top right of the Home screen) > Settings > Switch Agency / Re-enter Code. Enter the 6-character code your employer gave you.

What is a visit declaration?

Every morning, a banner appears on your Home screen asking what visit types you have planned. Tap it, select your visit types (SOC, ROC, SN, Discharge, Recert, etc.), and hit Submit. Your agency sees your plan in real time.

AI Notes & Tools

How do I generate a chart note?

Tap the AI tab in the bottom nav. Select a visit type, tap the mic, and speak naturally about the visit. Nursyn generates a chart-ready note. Copy it to your EMR when done.

Does Nursyn store my chart notes?

No. Notes are generated on your device and copied to your EMR. Nursyn does not store visit notes or patient data.

How does the Medical Translator work?

Tap the Tools tab > Translator. Select the patient's language (10 available), then tap the mic to speak. The translation plays aloud. Tap again for the patient's response back in English.

How do I log mileage?

Tap the Tools tab > Mileage Logger. Enter your starting and ending addresses and tap Log. Trips are saved for your records.

What is the Forum?

A professional space to ask clinical questions, share protocols, and connect with other nurses. Posts are visible to the Nursyn nurse community.

What is the Lounge?

A casual space to talk, share wins, and unwind. Think of it as the break room — less clinical, more human.

Account & Settings

How do I change my password?

Tap the gear icon > Settings > Change Password. Enter your current password, then your new one.

How do I turn on Face ID or PIN?

Tap Settings > PIN to set a PIN lock. If your device supports it, you will also see a biometrics toggle to enable Face ID or fingerprint unlock.

What does "Erase All Data" do?

It clears all locally stored data from your device and logs you out. Your account and agency link are not deleted from the server — you can log back in anytime.

How do I switch agencies?

Tap Settings > Switch Agency / Re-enter Code. Enter your new agency's 6-character code and confirm. You will be disconnected from your current agency immediately.

Licensed professionals only. Nursyn is intended solely for licensed or certified healthcare professionals. Your agency-issued access code confirms your eligibility; accounts may be suspended if eligibility cannot be verified.

Beta notice. Nursyn is in beta. All data is stored only on this device — nothing is sent to our servers. Deleting the app deletes your data.

Documentation tool, not medical advice. The Nursyn AI and Voice-to-Note convert your input into documentation language and provide general reference only. They do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of every note you submit and every clinical decision you make.

Translator. The translator is a convenience aid, not a certified medical interpreter. Use qualified interpreter services where required by law or agency policy.

No PHI. Do not include patient names, faces, or identifying information in photos, labels, notes titles, or Nurse Chat. You are responsible for verifying scanner redaction before sharing any document.

Nurse Chat. A peer space for nurses. Be respectful. Never share PHI or patient-specific medical advice. No recruiting, soliciting, agency advertising, or job postings. Content may be removed and accounts suspended for violations.

Mileage. Reports are provided for convenience and are not tax or reimbursement advice.

Liability. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nursyn is not liable for any damages arising from use of the app.
